Charles,
Why is this organization called “Black Policy”? Why isn’t called “African American Policy”? Is there some sense of schizophrenia here? I’m not trying to be a jerk, but Kujichagulia means “self-determination”. If one can’t determine what to consistently identify ones own community as, then how in the world can one jump to analysis of what that community thinks? Who does the organization get funding from? Who is the organization accountable to in the African American community? Don’t worry “Black Policy” is not unique here, many proclaim the mantle of what our communiity thinks, but rarely…, if ever, can they demonstrate metrics on this self-proclaimed position. More importantly, challenges to do so are few, if at all. This is unique to the African American community because we are loosely organized. Please, this is not a personal attack, I’m just flabergasted by the incredulity of it all.
Peace.
